Everything you need to know to start splitting expenses.

1. Create an Account

Signing up for Splittly is free and easy. You can sign up using your email address or Google account. Once you've created an account, you can access your groups and expenses from any device.

2. Create a Group

Groups are the core of Splittly. A group is where you share expenses with specific people. Common examples include "Apartment 4B", "Hawaii Trip", or "Friday Night Dinner".

  1. Go to your Dashboard.
  2. Click the "New Group" button.
  3. Enter a group name and select a category (optional).
  4. Click "Create Group".

3. Add Friends

Once your group is created, invite friends so they can see expenses and add their own.

  1. Open your group.
  2. Click "Add Members" or "Invite Link".
  3. Enter their email address or share the unique invite link.

4. Add Your First Expense

Now you're ready to track expenses!

  1. Click the "Add Expense" button in your group.
  2. Enter a description (e.g., "Groceries") and the amount.
  3. Select who paid (usually you) and who splits the cost (usually everyone).
  4. Click "Save".
