Nacua appeared on a livestream hosted by internet personality Adin Ross earlier this week. during the broadcast, Ross — who is Jewish — suggested a specific hand gesture as a potential touchdown celebration. The gesture, which involves lowering the head while rubbing hands together, is widely recognized as an antisemitic trope known as the "covetous Jew," mimicking a caricature symbolizing greed.

Unaware of its origins, Nacua performed the gesture on stream and indicated he might use it. The clip quickly spread across social media, drawing criticism from fans and advocacy groups who pointed out the harmful nature of the imagery.

Nacua's Apology and Explanation

Following the backlash, Nacua released a statement via Instagram, expressing regret and clarifying his lack of intent to offend.

"I had no idea this act was antisemitic in nature and perpetuated harmful stereotypes against Jewish people. I deeply apologize to anyone who was offended by my actions as I do not stand for any form of racism, bigotry or hate of another group of people."

His post also featured the logo for the Blue Square Alliance Against Hate, a campaign dedicated to combating antisemitism.
